Skills Assessment: 7 & 8 Year Olds Only!
On Thursday March 11th we’re asking that all 7 and 8 year old’s attend our assessment (Baseball Only) at the Deep River Elementary School gym from 6:15pm to 7:15pm.
Deep River Little League board members have agreed that a change in skills development is needed at the Farm (Coach pitch) level. This season for ages 7 & 8, we will be attempting to implement various skills development techniques, which may or may not include (depending on the outcome of the assessment), kid pitch, machine pitch, and/or some combination of kid, machine, or coach pitch rules. Additionally, we will be evaluating various other fundamental skills (including pitching ability) in an attempt to better understand our player community, and where best to implement their skills development.
We realize this assessment is short notice, but our season is upon us and we need your help. Please be prepared, on-time, and bring your glove.
